Many of us find ourselves in London every once in a while, whether for business or pleasure. The big city is full of amazing independent coffee shops and roasteries, but sometimes it feels impossible knowing which ones are worth visiting and which ones will leave you disappointed. This little list of four will give you a great starting point when it comes to finding somewhere to sip the perfect cup of coffee, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you think your favourite London coffee shop should be added to this list!
- Bar Italia, Soho
Open from 9am until 3pm, this is the place to go if you want to sip on a truly authentic Mediterranean espresso. You’ll have the choice of sitting either inside or out, so choose your people-watching spot and settle down for a great drink.
- Algerian Coffee Stores, Soho
Algerian Coffee Stores is a must-visit destination for any coffee lover, and you might not have ever come across a place quite like this before. As soon as you step over the threshold you’ll be hit with the most incredible aromas of coffee, and you’ll see canisters of roasted coffee beans from all across the globe stacked up to the ceiling. When it comes to actually getting yourself a drink, you can get a magnificent espresso from the machine in the middle of the shop for just £1.
- %Arabica, Covent Garden
Don’t be fooled by the sleek looking interior into thinking this is a spot for intagrammers serving mediocre coffee. The coffee at %Arabica is roasted on site and the signature Slayer Espresso is worth making a trip to Covent Garden to sample. If you want to tickle your taste buds with something sweet, try a Spanish Latte – you won’t be disappointed.

- Lever & Bloom, Bloomsbury
Lever & Bloom is a little red truck, but in reality it’s so much more than that. You can sample fine coffees alongside delicious pastries and treats that have been freshly baked. If you make a return to Lever & Bloom, the chances are Barista Mounir will have remembered both your name and your order.
Thanks,
C
